Anico Mostert is a South African artist whose work captures the quiet moments of everyday life. Her intuitive, evolving practice explores how the spaces we inhabit shape, and are shaped by, our sense of self.

Through expressive brushwork and colour, she reflects on memory, sensation, and belonging. This series departs from her usual oil on canvas, using ink on calico to mark a playful, experimental phase.

These pieces bring to mind the calm interludes of summer and spring, when time seems to slow, allowing us to appreciate the comfort of shared silences, the ease of visitors coming and going, and the simple joy of a bowl of fruit on the table.
