NICE VASES / STACK /2026-1 By Danny Cremers

Danny Cremers’ hand-built porcelain vases explore the space between object and sculpture, where form, colour, and construction remain in gentle tension.

Working intuitively rather than to a fixed plan, Cremers approaches making as a form of three-dimensional sketching. Elements are built, stacked, cut, and reassembled across multiple firings, allowing the material to guide the final form. Visible joins, shifts in volume, and layered surfaces are intentionally preserved, keeping the process present and legible.

Based in Amsterdam, Cremers revisits classical vessel forms without aiming for perfect resolution. Each piece feels poised yet gently off-balance, shaped by the productive tension between control and chance.
