The Anouk Table draws inspiration from the magnolia tree, its organic forms flowing from the sculptural relief of the rounded base up through the stem to the finial. Hand sketched and hand carved in wax before being cast in metal, each piece bears the subtle variations of the making process, ensuring no two are exactly alike. Anouk is the kind of piece that rewards a second look.
Materials
Shown here in polished aluminium with a waxed finish. The waxed finish allows the natural character of the aluminium to develop over time. While aluminium will not develop a traditional patina in the same way as bronze, its surface may gradually darken or develop subtle variations in tone through exposure and use. The Nature of Hand-Cast Metal Pitting is a natural result of the casting process and an inherent characteristic of handcrafted metalwork. Rather than being considered a flaw, these subtle variations are part of the beauty and authenticity of a handmade piece. We embrace these individual characteristics, which ensure that no two tables are exactly alike.
