Peter Pan House

Peter Pan House
The Peter Pan House, once the home of J.M. Barrie, is a Grade II-listed Edwardian and Arts and Crafts villa near Hyde Park. This unique project involved restoring the house, which had no plumbing or electricity when the owner purchased it, with architect Giles Quarme handling the heavy structural work. Our role focused on choosing colors, wallpaper, furniture, lighting, and fittings, reflecting the owner’s bold love for color and pattern. We mixed historical wallpapers with mid-century Italian lamps, Arts and Crafts furniture, and modern pieces, creating an eclectic blend of Victorian, Edwardian, and modern styles. Vintage rugs inspired the vibrant color palette of the interiors, while bespoke commissions celebrated British craftsmanship, including a custom games table featuring Peter Pan characters and a "Tick Tock" ottoman referencing Captain Hook. The result is a playful, vibrant, and daring home, where historical and contemporary elements coexist in a joyful, timeless way.
