Studio Ashby’s headquarters, located in the Grade I listed Blewcoat School in St James’s, London, is a dream space where founder Sophie Ashby and her team create, design, and bring her vision to life. After years in a bland workspace, she sought a more inspiring, residential-feeling environment and found it in this historic building, which has been used as a school, National Trust gift shop and bridal showroom. Despite initial hesitation due to the building's grandeur and its location near Buckingham Palace, Ashby embraced the opportunity during the pandemic, transforming the space with light hues and furnishings. The headquarters now showcases Sister by Studio Ashby’s furniture, art, and designs, embodying the playful, vibrant spirit of her lifestyle brand, Sister. The studio offers a sensory experience with carefully chosen decor, flowers, music, and even thoughtful details like vintage Japanese cups and aromatherapy candles. For Ashby, the space is about creating beauty and inspiration, whether for a client or a visitor, rather than just selling products.
